The story of MASTEX INTERNATIONAL, began in London in 1969 when Mike Taylor was working as an apprentice bricklayer. After a few years working in construction, Mike became increasingly frustrated and bored with the limitations of the job and began searching for a more exciting opportunity.

In the early 1970s he found it,

Mike found an advertisement for an American product called KENITEX an exterior wall coating system that was sprayed into place and would last 20 years longer than traditional masonry paint, the product had been used to seal the hulls of world war 2 concrete landing craft, he saw the protentional immediately and entered the world of high-performance exterior wall coatings.

After several years working throughout the UK with the product, Mick believed there was an opportunity to develop an even better product - an exterior wall coating specificity designed for the demanding and unpredictable British weather.

Working alongside a specialist UK paint manufacturer, the challenge began : to design , develope and manufacture a new generation of high-performance exterior wall and roof coating systems

Over the decades, Mike and his teams built up more than 50 years of practical experience running multable application crews throuhout the UK and Europe, The products were tested in real-world conditions -not simply in the labority -but on virtually every type of exterior wall and roof surface.

From tempertures of minus- 15 to over 45C, the systems were developed through decades of practicable experience in some of the toughest weather conditions imaginable.

Today more than 50 years after the journey began,MASTEX is now entering an exciting new chapter

MASTEX-INTERNATIONAL is now expanding throughout the world, building a network of 250 highly trained approved contractors who will share our knowledge, experience, products and vision in helping to slow global warming.

Our mission is simple : to bring together more than five decades of experience in exterior surfce protection with a new generation of trained contractors around the world
